Land Survey Field Assistant Job at UELS
This position is a "Surveyor in Training" role, where you learn to be a Surveyor by supporting a Surveyor perform boundary surveys and staking. We are looking for a motivated individual who likes to be out in "the field" and is dedicated, loyal, hard-working, and gets satisfaction out of a full day's work.
You will learn to operate GPS and survey equipment, stake boundaries, work with maps & land owners, and keep all equipment clean and in working order.
- Education: High School Diploma / GED Knowledge: 6+ months experience as a Surveying Assistant (Preferred)
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Additional: Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift 75 lbs. Honest, Professional, Organized, Pays Attention to detail, Dependability, Thoroughness, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Safety Conscious, Strong Work Ethic, Self-driven with little or no supervision. Must have current and valid drivers license with MVR that meets Company requirements. Must be willing and able to enroll in the DISA Compliance & Policy program.
- Working Conditions: Mental and physical labors are a part of this job. Working conditions could be indoor or outdoor and the job is subject to extreme weather conditions. Must be able to walk for long periods of time and/or operate ATV’s through a variety of terrains.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
