POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Enhancements Crew Member, you will be expected to implement specific landscape installations and limited small softscape and/or hardscape projects in service of work orders company wide.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality?

• Manually plant trees or shrubs, grade, lay sod, construct small retaining walls, construct rock/mulch beds, establish new bed edges, and other landscaping tasks.

• Prep soil for flower or groundcover installation and plant material properly taking into consideration depth, size, placement, and spacing.

• Apply mulch in a manner that is appropriate to the material, plant, and location.

• Implement lot and ramp sweeping and cleaning.

• Perform pruning on trees and shrubs.

• Water plant materials as directed.

• Perform turf core aeration.

• Alert Crew Lead to any issues with turf, plants, trees, shrubs, ramps or lots, or hardscapes on the property.

Safety?

• Operate, in a safe and efficient manner, all pruning tools, hand saws, edgers, chainsaws, power and steam washers, and other assorted landscape enhancements equipment as assigned.

• Complete and maintain all assigned Greenius safety trainings.

• Wear clothing and safety equipment appropriate for the job performed.

• Perform preventative equipment checks prior to operating.

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment and ensure required materials, including first aid kits, are stocked and stored appropriately.

SCHEDULE:

• This job is to be performed during an average work week consisting of 8-10 hours per day for 5-6 days per week April through October.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of landscape enhancements operational procedures.
• This job entails physical bending, kneeling, squatting, and/or lifting and carrying 40 lbs. individually and 80 lbs. as a team for a variety of tasks, including: digging holes for placement of new plantings, grading ground surfaces for preparation of new landscapes, laying sod from pallets to ground surface, lifting and placement of materials for small hardscape projects, bed construction via shovels, rakes, ball carts, and other miscellaneous landscape tools.
• Good communication skills with the ability to understand and follow directions.
• Problem solving ability with respect to all equipment types required to perform duties listed above.

• Completes assigned work in a timely and accurate manner.
• Works well with co-workers and supervisors.
• Consistently reports to work on time.
• Adheres to Company expectations regarding conduct and appearance as specified in the Employee Handbook.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
