To keep the facility in cleanly and aesthetically pleasing condition,.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and its employees.

  • Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department. Contribution and participation includes data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center (a) Safety and Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures and (d) Patient and Customer Service.

  • The efficient and thorough pick-up of soiled linen on assigned nursing units.

  • The efficient and thorough distribution of linen to the Nursing Units as well as the responsiveness to linen calls.

  • The efficient and thorough pick-up of soiled linen in the Soiled Linen Utility rooms and clinics

  • The efficient and thorough distribution and pick-up of resident clothing in conjunction with Oceanside.
Efficient and thorough sorting of linen and placed in their proper designated area.

  • The efficient and thorough cleaning of soiled linen receptacles in all Soiled Utility rooms.
Efficiency and completeness of labeling on al Resident Clothing.

  • Efficiency and completeness of linen inventory assignments as well as organization of currently used and boxed linen.

  • Properly weighing soiled linen to be laundered and maintaining accurate logs of linen leaving and returning to the facility.

  • Maintain accurate and proper records of all forms received and cross-reference with the forms filled out in the facility.

  • Maintain soiled linen room cleaned and organized.

  • Maintain weight scale clean and free of debris.
Qualifications:
  • Some background in Health Care cleaning

  • High School Diploma

  • Equivalency
