Vale Group has partnered with a company in the Aerospace industry, based in Jacksonville, FL, who is actively searching for an experienced Lead Aircraft Mechanical Engineer to work on-site for an opportunity paying $120,000 to $135,000 base salary, based on experience. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of design, mechanical engineering experience with aircrafts, including complete overhauls, and a deep understanding of both commercial and military aircrafts.

Requirements of the Lead Aircraft Mechanical Engineer:

• 3-5 years of experience in design, mechanical engineering with aircrafts
• Relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree
• Deep understanding of commercial and military aircrafts
• Ability to troubleshoot structures and support airworthiness
• Knowledge of aircraft regulations and standards (FAA, EASA, etc)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with CAD software, such as CATIA or SolidWorks, is a plus

Responsibilities of the Lead Aircraft Mechanical Engineer:

• Oversee and execute overhaul projects from start to finish
• Design and implement mechanical systems for aircrafts
• Analyze and troubleshoot aircraft structures and mechanical systems
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards (FAA, EASA, etc)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production and quality
• Prepare reports, technical specifications, and maintenance manuals
• Support airworthiness and perform routine maintenance as needed
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
