About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to join the WIM Finance Analytics and Reporting Center of Excellence. As a member of the Risk, Regulatory & Operations Analytics Team in the COE you will wear multiple hats contributing in various capacities to help the firm become a stronger data-driven organization. As a business intelligence practitioner you will discover, learn and master data of operational processes such as Account Opening, Money Movement and Digital Enablement to design, maintain and revolutionize processes that deliver consistent, trusted and reliable insights for decision making. As a data steward you will enforce data policies, processes, procedures and standards including data quality monitoring and user support. The successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of the analytics development life cycle working closely with technology, operations and business subject matter experts in helping Wells Fargo achieve its vision to satisfy our customers' financial needs and help them succeed financially.

In this role, you will:
  • Research and create data procurement strategies to resolve data barriers across complex sources
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop insights in support of products and services capabilities
  • Maintain analytics data applications by conducting data quality reviews, resolving issues and fulfilling end-user requests
  • Advance analytics capabilities by contributing to backlog management working independently and on project teams
  • Become the subject matter expert within analytics product domains and operational processes
  • Develop cross organizational partnerships that enable collaborative approach to requirements gathering and problem solving
  • Define and design data assembly procedures to deliver insights consistently and reliably
  • Contribute to development of analytic tools such as reports and dashboards that deliver information expediently for fact-based decision making
  • Monitor, evaluate and test business intelligence capabilities to ensure optimal performance and data integrity
  • Identify operational risks and inefficiencies, contribute creative solution ideas, and assist with remediation efforts
  • Provide leadership in the identification and development of new research concepts and designs
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
  • Mentor or manage less experienced staff, interns, and external contractors
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • A Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Information Technology, Analytics or Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain complex technical details in easy-to-understand business language
  • Analytics experience in processes and operations supporting digital enablement capabilities such as eSign and authentication
  • Analytics experience in account opening and money movement operations
  • Banking Industry analytics experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of Data Management concepts
  • Knowledge of WIM eSign and Authentication capabilities
  • Knowledge of WIM Money Movement capabilities and operations processes including transactions systems of record
  • Knowledge of WIM New Account Open operations including processes, procedures and systems involved
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in maneuvering large data sets using query tools to conduct research and analysis expediently
  • 5+ years of SQL programming experience including automation of data processing routines and manipulation of large data sets across multiple data platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2 and Hadoop
  • Business Intelligence tools experience such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, R, Python
  • Outstanding problem solving skills with ability to work independently
  • Strong collaboration, coordination, and influence skills in a fast paced environment
