Lead Barista/Floor Supervisor Job at Montana State University
Come lead one of our barista teams in the Dining Halls! Hiring motivated team members who are excited to actively participate in the ever changing world of the high-paced food industry.
- Positions is 40 hours per week and is eligible for overtime and benefits including insurance, retirement, tuition waiver, holiday pay, and annual & sick leave.
- Shift is Sunday 11:30 am – 8 pm, Monday – Thursday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
This Floor Supervisor/Lead Barista is a working supervisory position in the front of house/auxiliary areas (floor service, beverages, pots/pans, dishroom, and storeroom). It is primarily stationed at the coffee shop and acts as the Lead Barista of that area.
- Positively and professionally interacts with customers.
- Ensures quality service is being provided.
- Actively prepares specialty drink products (espresso, lattes, mochas, etc).
- Performs a variety of cashier and cash handling duties.
- Works with the management team to supervise and train staff.
- Monitors service and dining areas for cleanliness.
- Directs staff in the cleaning of areas and equipment in accordance with the sanitarians’ recommendations.
- Responsible to ensure areas are running efficiently and timely.
- Actively works in all areas as needed.
- Performs other general kitchen duties.
- And actively contributes to the team by performing other duties as needed in support of the department’s mission.
