JOB TITLE: Lead Warehouse Coordinator
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Lead Warehouse Coordinator oversees the work of our Shipping and Receiving employees. They are responsible for ensuring accurate preparation of customer shipments, along with receiving inbound material from vendors and ensures the proper processes and procedures are followed.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, oversee work of Shipping and Receiving employees to efficiently prepare, label, and load customer orders.
Acts as a facilitator between the warehouse and the shipping office team, communicating any issues or delays with processing customer shipments.
Trains and directs employees in the safe handling of materials. Ensures that all work is done in a safe manner and that appropriate processes and procedures are followed.
Ensures proper offloading of vendor inbound material. Follows work instruction standard for Receiving and completes receiving process in ERP system, including accurate lot and quantity reconciliations, as well as generating receiving labels through label software.
Works with Warehouse Supervisor to schedule where staffing is needed each day for each building/branch plant. Moves employees between buildings as needed.
Moves finished / QC passed product from manufacturing area to proper finished goods areas. Consolidates product as needed to help maximize space in warehouse.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
Follows work instruction for proper handling of all Return Material Authorizations.
Suggest ideas to improve quality, cost, and processes.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES
Will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Ability to lift bags and other containers up to 50 pounds in a safe manner as directed. Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with mechanical equipment in a safe manner as directed. May be required to stand for long periods and walk great distances daily.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS/COMPETENCIES to perform the job duties
Key Education or Certification Required
High school diploma required.
Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience
At least 3+ years of previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
Required Skills and Competencies
Must have considerable knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
