Summary: The learning consultant is responsible for supporting internal business partners by assessing needs and designing, developing, delivering, maintaining, and evaluating continuous learning programs for both internal (and external as needed) learners in support of a variety of business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”

  • Analyzes learning needs and develops programs that maximize knowledge transfer by aligning recognized best practices of instructional theory with business strategies.
  • Collaborates with technical and operational team members to synthesize business requirements into various learning materials.
  • Develops high quality, easy to consume, innovative learning and performance support solutions using various technologies.
  • Actively engages learners through the facilitation of live virtual learning sessions and blended learning modalities on a wide variety of technical and organization-specific subject matter.
  • Conducts targeted analysis and evaluation of the learning programs they support and develop to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships at all levels within the organization to ensure internal learning and development needs are continually met in the most effective manner.
  • Administers, evaluates, and reports on blended learning initiatives through our internal Learning Management System.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Communication or Training and Development plus minimum of 5 years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The candidate will be a highly motivated passionate collaborator who encourages and partners with teammates in a way that draws out their strengths. Must work well both independently and in a team environment and display impeccable public-speaking skills.

Must demonstrate a solid understanding of methodology and best practices in both Learning and Development and Instructional Development. Must be able to understand complex material and explain it clearly.

Proficiency in MS Power Point and Articulate 360 is essential. Experience playing a key role administering a web-based Learning Management System is preferred. Experience in Agile is a plus.


Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Duties are performed primarily in a home office setting utilizing computer equipment. Travel to attend meetings and visit locations throughout the country may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands.
