The Learning Manager, Learning Content & Delivery, MCS, is responsible for managing the study start-up activities for MCS, to include the creation, review, modification and delivery of moderate-to-complex training materials, study-specific documents and presentations using a variety of learning solutions (e.g., MCS training materials, SIV and IM presentations, e-learning content, instructor-led courses, performance support tools, etc.) per MCS business needs. The Learning Manager, Learning Content & Delivery will analyze learning needs in collaboration with MCS Clinical Operations, and design and/or develop learning content based on input from Sponsors, project teams, subject matter experts and other relevant stakeholders. Success in this role depends on a candidate’s knowledge of clinical research as applicable to MCS, general knowledge of clinical procedures, writing and communication skills, ability to use content development tools to produce high quality deliverables, facilitation and ability to collaborate effectively with mid-to-high level divisional management, subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across MCS.


This position can be home based, anywhere within the United States.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Facilitate seamless and timely transition of assigned projects for sponsored pharmaceutical and biotech studies, which may involve all phases of development and a variety of therapeutic areas, from the proposal/contract stage to study rollout for MCS.
  • Work collaboratively with MCS project teams, Sponsors, and other internal stakeholders and SMEs to facilitate development of high-quality professional client-facing material in support of MCS. Review clinical trial protocols, laboratory manuals, pharmacy manuals, etc., to summarize pertinent information and develop MCS Training Manuals, e-content and associated forms/documents for new studies
  • Develop content and identify appropriate learning solutions for moderate-to-high complexity general and study-specific training for mobile clinicians, including creating and executing the course design and development schedule, as applicable
  • Develop and/or review MCS presentations for external kick-off meetings and Investigator’s meetings, as required
  • Develop, maintain and update MCS presentation and study document templates
  • Complete detail-oriented final reviews of MCS Training Manuals, study forms and other documents, presentations and e-content.
  • Coordinate and manage content reviews and sign-offs with stakeholders, and give final approval for provision of MCS training materials and related documents and presentations to Sponsors.
  • Participate in MCS project teleconference calls and meetings with Sponsors during study-start up activities and periodically, as applicable
  • Ensure learning measurement strategy (e.g., competency assessment, etc.) is embedded into design and development of content for learning solutions
  • Deliver training to and/or support local MCS project teams/SMEs providing training. May include e-documentation training and/or collaboration to build e-documents.
  • Partner with SMEs to design and facilitate train-the-trainer programs, and coordinate with Learning Specialists and Learning Operations on planned delivery methods, as applicable
  • Maintain / modify courses within the Learning Management System, as applicable
  • Incorporate feedback from learning evaluations, SMEs, Country Coordinators, mobile clinicians and other stakeholders into future design and development activities
  • Identify and recommend potential development tools and updates, support collaboration for process improvement and/or participate on task force/working groups, as applicable
  • Comply with ICH/GCP guidelines, data protection laws, applicable Labcorp SOPs and study requirements


Required:
Minimum 5 years of related experience, which may include clinical research, document development and education/training of clinicians. Experience managing multiple projects and/or programs at once.


Preferred
: Experience developing, writing, reviewing, formatting and training on moderate-to-complex clinical training materials using a variety of learning solutions (e.g., e-learning, virtual trainings, documents, competency exams, etc.); knowledge of emerging and progressive content development tools and techniques; familiarity with content authoring tools / development technologies (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, HTML, etc.).

Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred: Degree or certificate in nursing, nurse education or clinical laboratory services

Salary Range - $75,000-$82,000
