Job Responsibilities:

  • Support legal department by maintaining file systems, spreadsheets, and databases including creating, organizing and maintaining files, entering and updating documents into platform/spreadsheets, regularly filing/uploading documents
  • Prepare drafts of correspondence and other communications on behalf of General Counsel
  • Review and upload documents to maintain and manage contract management platform to track deadlines, ensure timely renewal of contracts, or additional action as necessary
  • Assist with discovery responses
  • Maintain claims files, litigation files and spreadsheets
  • File IDFPR business license applications
  • Review and process registrations required for state filings
  • Manage annual financial disclosures and conflict of interest documents
  • Review edits, compare agreements, and finalize a variety of agreements including professional service agreements, employment agreements, termination agreements, construction agreements, master licensing and service agreements, NDAs, confidentiality agreements, policies, Terms of Use, independent contractor agreements, leases and licenses
  • Assist legal department in reviewing, managing and responding to requests/inquiries regarding various matters including claims, subpoenas, incidents, insurance, policies and lawsuits
  • Assist with special project assignments within the Legal Department including compliance and risk divisions such as annual training, BAA management, product recall tracking

Job Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • Experience in legal department or other legal training is preferred
  • Ability to manage confidential issues with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize appropriately
  • Ability to work efficiently with detail under time constraints
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
