OVERVIEW

  • Provides clinical psychosocial diagnosis, assessment, and treatment including counseling/ psychotherapy services, case management, patient advocacy, and other therapeutic services across a full spectrum of age - from pediatrics through geriatrics - culture/SES, and range of clinical issues
  • Works in an outpatient Clinic environment and maintains weekly scheduled appointments working with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health
  • Helps individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse-related issues; family, parenting, and marital problems; suicidal ideation; stress management; problems with self-esteem/-efficacy; and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health
  • Possesses the ability to appropriately address complex clinical situations such as intervening in crisis situations and conducting preliminary evaluations for potential suicidally/homicidally

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Degree in Social Work
  • 2 years clinical social work experience, providing independent and group therapy services
  • Experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health, and substance abuse)
  • Experience supervising unlicensed staff preferred

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

You have and maintain the following certifications:

  • Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California

You are able to obtain the following certification within 2 months of hire:

  • BLS
