The Social Worker holds a therapeutic role across departments within the organization and is responsible for mental health counseling and support of clients and families. This role bridges mental health support delivery across the existing diagnostic and intervention service lines by providing individual and family counseling to children and adult clients who have received diagnostic evaluations, support groups for parents and siblings of children with autism, social skills groups for children and adults with autism, and related interventions.

• 
  Support groups for parents and siblings of children with autism spectrum disorder
• Social skills groups for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder
• Play and/or art therapy with our youngest clients
• Provide individual and family therapy for children who experience behavioral and emotional

difficulties (including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, etc.)

• Providing individual therapy to adults experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties

(including but not limited to anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, etc.)

• Formulate clinical diagnoses based on the American Psychiatric Association (APA) Diagnostic

and Statistical Manual, Fifth Edition (DSM-V)

• Development and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs
• Assess clinical emergencies, including risk of suicide and danger to others
• Provide referrals to appropriate resources and follows-up as necessary
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills?
• Ability to engage with clients and families, and build trusting relationships
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Perform timely and accurate record keeping in accordance with organizational requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Licensures: Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) in New Jersey State
• Supervise Staff? Possibility of supervising social work students
