Great South Bay Endoscopy Center (GSBE) a GI Ambulatory Surgical Center in Patchogue, NY, has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ) to join the team!

The hours for this position 5 days a week, 4 hours a day (morning or evening).

What you will be working on:

• Admitting patients to the GSBE Center
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians prior to procedures
• Following patients in recovery through to discharge
• Overseeing patient and staff flow
• Ensuring policies and procedures are followed and items are properly documented
• Assists in keeping the department clean and tidy
• Basic chart review, updating and management
• Additional duties include maintaining the emergency cart, ordering, and inventorying medication, giving pre-procedure instruction, and participating in Quality Management projects.

What you’ll know:

• A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• GI experience preferred, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite, but not required
• Current NY License
• Knowledge of EMR and medical terminology.
• Previous critical care or PACU experience preferred
• BLS Certification preferred
• Must be a team-player with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills
• Compassion for patient needs and a high degree of professionalism
