How will you make an impact:
RHD is seeking full-time Life skills professionals for the overnight 12 am-8 am and 4 pm-12 am shifts as well as part-time/on-call Life Skills professionals for all shifts (12 am-8 am, 8 am-4 pm, 4 pm-12 am) to support with accessing community resources and providing support to achieve treatment goals. Additional daily responsibilities include building relationships, providing encouragement, oversight/demonstration of life skills, documentation completion, and accompanying individuals on various outings/appointments.

Responsibilities/duties:
  • Build relationships with outside supports.
  • support residents with identifying and accessing community resources.
  • maintain the safety of the environment through safety checks, building rounds, and engagement with all residents.
  • Provide encouragement, motivational interviewing, and ongoing support.
  • Facilitate accountability schedule and activities to support resident engagement.
  • Oversight/demonstration of residential cooking and cleaning skills and other activities of daily living.
  • Completion of documentation including incident reports, shift reports, safety checks, and other reporting.
  • participate as a member of the treatment team through active participation in team discussions and email communications to share observations.

Required experience:
  • 2 years of Direct Care Service experience in drug and alcohol treatment is required.

Required education:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Some human service-related secondary education is preferred.

Required qualifications:
  • Basic computer and typing skills.
  • Willingness to be trained in the use of electronic health records.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Salary range: Starting rate is $16.50 an hour $1500 sign-on bonuses are also offered and available after the successful completion of 90 days of employment
Schedule: Shifts are 12 AM-8 AM, 8 AM-4 PM, and 4 PM-12 AM.

Program Summary:
Located in Germantown, Womanspace Philadelphia is a 10-bed residential facility for women with a history of chronic homelessness. WSP provides evidence-based treatment from a Recovery Model perspective. We are seeking one full-time overnight and several Part-time/on-call Life Skills Professionals to work with women who have substance use treatment needs along with overlapping medical, familial, and mental health needs. For part-time/on-call positions, amount of hours can vary according to your availability. Shifts are 12 am-8 am, 8 am-4 pm, and 4 pm-12 am.
