Locus Recruiting (Recruitment Firm) is searching for an OSP Lineman for our client.

Position: OSP Lineman

Duration: Long-term Contract/Contract-to-hire

Full-time hours each week.

Benefits available

Target Pay: $25-30/hr.

Location: Newport, WA and surrounding areas

• Responsible for Coax / Fiber plant maintenance at an ongoing basis
• Operating in parallel with network operations, engineering when necessary,contractors, office scheduler and the Fiber Installation Technician.
• Install new fiber lines / drops, maintain Coax plant equipment, troubleshootoutages (in collaboration with network monitoring companies (i.e. Truvision),routinely inspect all aspects of the plant
• Work with management to ensure consistent plant operation across alltechnologies.
• Comfortably operate a bucket truck and work at heights exceeding 30 feet.
• Provide live hands-on support as needed for engineering staff.
• Create and own a list of critical spare parts.
• Maintain clean and proper installation of equipment across your region.
• Coax / Fiber optic splicing, in and outside of central office locations, includingcabinets and OSP.
• Ability to climb poles in a safe and efficient manner
• Know ladder safety
• Be familiar with working in close proximity to high voltage lines
