Position: Live-out Nanny / Family Assistant
Schedule: Full-time, Mon. – Fri. (1pm – 7pm), with flexibility for potential weekends or occasional overnight stays
Location: Westport, CT
Salary: $30-35/hour based on experience
Overview
Active family of four is seeking a bright, seasoned, and energetic live-out Nanny/Family Assistant to assist with the care and development of their 2 children (ages 9 & 8). The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the children’s care, including, without limitation, picking up the children from school and driving them to various activities, cooking for the children, doing children’s laundry and organizing their rooms, play areas and belongings/accessories. Candidates must also be dog-friendly (Bernedoodle).
This role is perfect for an individual with a high level of emotional intelligence: warm, capable, happy, intuitive, knows when to ‘step in’ and ‘step out’ and anticipate needs. Seeking someone adaptable, flexible, and proactive with a positive "can-do" attitude.
Duties
- Drive children daily (school pickup, doctor’s appointments, play dates, etc.); Grocery shopping and miscellaneous child-related errands
- Care for the children, keeping them healthy, safe, and nurturing their development
- Cooking for the children; variety of healthy recipes and leave kitchen tidy afterwards
- Do children’s laundry and organize children’s rooms, play areas and belongings/accessories
- Help children with their homework as needed
- Dog care: help with food/water, let out and walk as needed

- Energetic and a self-starter
- Very good communicator, both written and verbal
- Flexible, ability to adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Nanny caring for multiple children, preferably in the 8-13 year old age range
- Excellent, stable work history and references
- Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel on vacations with the family
- Non-smoker
- Fully vaccinated
