General Position Scope:
Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining standardized and ad-hoc reporting with large data sets using multiple systems for reporting and risk management purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive reports using Cognos and other report writing software. Reports include, but are not limited to, specialized portfolio reports and analysis, management reports, internal and external auditors, and Board reports.
Develop and maintain reports and processes to continuously improve data quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Audit and resolve data integrity issues.
Assist Loan Portfolio Analyst with development of reports and analysis of loan portfolio credit risk.
Assist with preparation of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) Commentary.
Work with Loan Portfolio Analyst in pulling and preparing monthly and quarterly reports that are distributed to Financial Accounting and executive management.
Manage special projects and develop ad hoc reports. Research and monitor various loan reports, working with lenders and others to obtain updated information to support special projects.
Assist with efforts as they pertain to the annual Federal Home Loan Bank Audit. Prepare or assist with the creation of the FHLB loan extract and review data for accuracy, using Excel skills and loan knowledge.
Assist with report preparation for the annual FDIC/State Examination.
Assist with preparing both internal and external reports (e.g. Call Report, SEC reporting, etc.).
Attend meetings and training as requested.
Perform other duties as requested.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
Participation in the bank’s High-Performance Connections program.
Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field required.
Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of commercial lending with experience with loan origination, documentation, and administration processes preferred.
Experience with Cognos or other report writing software preferred.
Familiar with Instructions for Preparation of Call Report preferred.
Familiar with banking regulations preferred.
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Extensive reading as needed.
Affinity for technology and ability to effectively communicate with business and technology teams.
Strong attention to detail.
High standard of integrity.
Outstanding customer service with internal and external customers.
