The Role


The Warehouse Analyst will lead projects of cross-departmental impact, identifying process improvements, and bringing projects to successful conclusion while exceeding internal and external customer expectations and making sure the correct reporting is in place and all of this will be with a focus on location management. This will all be under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Your daily activity will be with a focus on location management, including but not limited to;
    • Evaluate the movement type of parts and move them accordingly
    • Take actions to proactively limited “no locations”
    • Interstaging checks – supporting the bin owner with aged parts
    • Evaluate storage type vs movement type and come with actions to improve
    • Evaluate replenishment parts – come with actions to improve
    • Safegard “warehouse in a warehouse” principle
  • Make sure there is reporting in place in cooperation with the engineering team to follow up the metrics and KPI’s for location management.
  • Mapping and benchmarking current warehouse processes (all aspects of the physical warehousing processes).
  • Continually identifying areas for efficiency improvement / waste reduction.
  • Putting together, implementing, and executing efficiency improvement action plans to ensure on-time and on-budget completion, and to ensure efficiency gains are achieved.
  • Becoming a system power user and administrator, in order to take full advantage of the system’s functionality for SAP AC/DC.
  • Assessing current warehouse location system and layout, and recommending layout optimization in order to facilitate the WMS implementation and to reduce pick time.
  • Identifying safety hazards and implementing corrective action.
  • Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
  • Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we expect of you?


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Business / Engineering / Supply Chain) preferred or equivalent in experience.


Experience


  • At least 5 years preferred work experience in distribution or supply chain.
  • WMS exposure and knowledge is required (WMS implementation, administration, power user).
  • SAP experience needed.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, including root-cause analysis.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, including identifying, understanding, resolving, learning from and preventing problems.
  • Planning and organizational skills, including time management and balancing competing priorities.
  • Process improvement and change management skills.
  • Practiced communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate (verbally and written) business and technical information with all levels of employees, including senior management, with multiple delivery methods including email, training, presentations, various types of documentation.
