Essential Functions:

The position is responsible to coordinate movement of material in a cost effective and timely manner to ensure on time delivery. Position is responsible for defined expediting functions to support operations, consistent with customer requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Responsible for prioritizing and coordinating movement of material in a cost effective and timely manner to ensure on-time delivery

· Responsible for initializing shippers and moving parts in or out in a timely manner

· Responsible for coordinating and scheduling of trucks for pick-ups and deliveries

· Responsible for all receiving and subcontracting functions

· Prioritize work through subcontractors to meets company’s schedule and customer requirements

· Follow up with suppliers for on time delivery and for all other mattes including shipping discrepancies

· Communicate daily with suppliers to achieve delivery requirements

· Schedule expedited carriers if needed to move “hot material” through subcontractors

· Responsible for reconciling inventory discrepancies between subcontractors and the organization

· Maintain accuracy for movement of parts between sub-contractors in ERP system. Ensure ERP system is updated for outside processing activity

· Interaction with internal & external customers

· Ensures full compliance with all MSD and government Environmental Health & Safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance standards

· Maintain and follow all TS-16949 and IATF procedures that are applicable to this position

· Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established environmental, health, safety, quality and compliance standards

· Ensure continual improvement in all areas of operation through employee development and involvement

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and county environmental laws, regulations and standards

· Assist in organization of warehouse, including inventory and cycle counts

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Experience in materials management or freight logistics

· Ability to communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing

· Ability to multitask and prioritize

· Ability to effectively manage internal and external customers

· Ability to use one’s own initiative in organizing and planning activities

· Computer (PC) literacy.

· ERP (Plex) experience a plus
