Job Summary and Qualifications

Tasks and responsibilities, you will:

• Obtain vital signs on patients (per unit policy and frequency) and report abnormal results to nurse co-assigned to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleans wounds, answer call lights, and monitor vital signs.
• Perform safe patient handling that may include turning and positioning, use of specialty beds, patient transfer, assistance walking, oxygen use, and suction use.
• Assist the RN collecting data from patients on admission, for patient processing ad discharge preparations as instructed.
• Assist patients with performing activities of daily living to include bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting, grooming, changing linens, providing water, assisting with meal delivery when needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate or equivalent; Associates/Technical.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
• 0-2 years of experience in Hospital or Nursing Home preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
