GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for processing medication refills based on Ampla Health standing orders protocol
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Assists medical providers with processing medication refills based on Ampla Health standing orders protocol.
- Review and determine if prescription refill request meets parameters as outlined in P&P and address refill accordingly.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the Medication Refill Protocol based on input from the Medical Director and Providers in keeping with current evidence based practices.
- Responsible for covering Ampla Providers on PTO or FMLA.
- Assist providers with medication refills if needed.
- Complete phone messages related to Rxs, call the pharmacy and update the patient when necessary.
- Recall patients and schedule appointments, if necessary, related to medication refill request.
- Maintains accurate and detailed patient records and pertinent information: documents medical information and patient education provided.
- Enters all pertinent communication with the patient into the EHR.
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
- Prioritizes workload to ensure timely completion of assignment.
- Report to work as scheduled and on time and keep supervisor informed as to changes in work schedule.
- Attends all monthly department meetings/trainings.
Completes annual online trainings as defined by Ampla Health.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
