Job Title: Machine Helper

Reports To: Machine Operator/Foreman

Department: Machine

Summary:

To help support the operators during the slitting process.

Job Duties, Responsibilities and Authority:

Carry out duties assigned by Operator

Build Over arms.

Load and unload coil cart.

Dump Scrap.

Use crane and forklift

Write up coils .

Ensure a 100% inspection of material.

Update and maintain general packaging instructions when necessary.

Work closely with Operator/Foreman to resolve any problems that may occur.

Train and orient new employees that are hired for your area.

Support the recycling of spacers, paper and skids (where applicable).

Support the quality, environmental and safety systems.

Carry out any other duties that may be assigned.

Maintain clean work area

Have first-level authority to stop their own process, report the problem to management, and correct the problem or request assistance in this endeavor.

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interprets general business periodicals. Ability to have good communication skill with other employees.

Math:

Ability to calculate mathematical figures. Read and understand fractions. Ability to apply concepts of general math.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to follow work instructions.
