Machine Operator,Heavy Equipment Operator,Forklift Operator,General Laborer Job at Scotts Miracle-Gro
We're looking for seasonal Machine Operators, Heavy Equipment Operators, Fork Lift Operators & General Laborers for our Morrison, IL mulch and soil manufacturing facility for 1st & 2nd shift.
The Machine Operator performs setup and run duties of filling and bagging equipment, product changeover activity, QC checks and adjustments to equipment and communication of issues to supporting team members and business partners. Starting pay is $16.90/hr.
The Heavy Equipment Operator prepares organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader, pushes or relocates piles to ensure segregation of materials. Supplies production with a continuous supply of material. Monitors the stock piles for excessive heat, turns stockpiles, extinguishes small fires and ensures the proper amount of water is used to prepare the stockpile for production use. Starting pay is $17.70/hr.
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Starting pay is $16.90/hr.
The General Laborer is responsible for ensuring organic or chemical materials flow through the shakers and mixers, package good into cartons and stack product as demand requires. They will also perform housekeeping to insure that material does not accumulate, remove scrap material, and re-stack inventory. They will maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Starting pay is $15.75/hr.
Mon-Fri 40 hours per week with overtime and Saturdays as needed.
