Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

  • Installing and repairing all electrical devices within the plant.
  • Performing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, etc. on all production equipment, utilities, building/grounds, etc.
  • Completing parts requisitions, work orders, time sheets, in Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Electrician disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment.
  • Responsible for replacing all fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches
  • Working independently and on teams.
  • Demonstrating safe work practices.Understand and complete all associated paperwork.
  • Adhere to preventative/predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Read and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills
Ideally the individual that would be a strong fit for this position would have some of the following knowledge/skills and abilities;

  • Mechanical assembly skills on large equipment a plus.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical experience in a converting plant desired but not required

An individual in this position must be able to learn and demonstrate the following skills;

  • Self-sufficient and cost effectively perform all required mechanical and pneumatic assembly operations.
  • Complete knowledge and understanding of assembly drawing blueprints at a complex level.
  • Must have extensive knowledge for identification and working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, adjust and debug to finalize majority of machine lines required in house or at the customer’s facility.
  • Ability to perform inquiry and printouts as required in manufacturing and engineering systems.
  • Trained and knowledgeable in Mechanical Assembly Standards, Engineering Standards, other applicable procedures and parts flow.

Essential Job Functions include the following:

  • Candidates should be available to work either morning and night shifts (8hr and 12hr shifts), as shift preferences are approved per company policy and/or collective bargaining agreement
  • Must have flexibility to work any given day during the week.
  • No travel required
  • Physical demands
  • Will walk and/or stand 8 – 12 hours per day. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Lifting requirements: 45lbs minimum required
  • Candidates are required to wear PPE (i.e. ear plugs, hair net, steel toed shoes)
  • Working environment: High noise volumes from industrial presses, Company will provide PPE.
