Maintenance Controller - HQ#21-00145 Job at HQ Aero Management Inc.
The Maintenance Controllers are primarily responsible for determining the priority of action. They must support those priorities in relation to the principal maintenance facility, line stations and contract agencies regarding maintenance requirements, ensuring maintenance and operational requirements are met and the timely dispatch of airworthy aircraft.
Responsibilities:
As an experienced Maintenance Controller, you are qualified to:
- Ensure greatest fleet utilization without compromising safety; communicate with flight crews and maintenance personnel to ascertain the nature of all in service maintenance discrepancies
- Notify the Director of Quality Control (DQC) and the Director of Maintenance (DOM) of any occurrence that is out of the norm, act on behalf of the Maintenance Planner's absence.
- Initiate and coordinate actions necessary to address discrepancies of maintenance events at Line Stations and Outstations
- Issue maintenance to Outside Maintenance Vendors and maintain control of the event; maintain a log of activities and irregularities by way of a daily Maintenance
- Control summary and the complete and accurate entries on the summary; control and issue all deferrals whether MEL, MCO, CDL or NEF and coordinate all Ferry Flights and Test Flights
- Notify the Maintenance Planner, and all other appropriate personnel, of any discrepancy, condition, or irregularity that may affect the airworthiness of the company's fleet
- This identification process is not limited to the above and also applies to any non-regulatory condition that affects the overall efficient operation of the company
- Deliver and receive a quality shift turnover
- Basic Knowledge of ATR or Saab 340 preferred
- 5+ years aviation experience in maintenance control capacity preferred
- Must possess a valid Airframe and Power plant FAA Airman’s Certificate
- Must be able to work flexible shifts as operation runs 24/7/365
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Standard Aviation Tool Kit required.
- Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.

- Work Environment: FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment.
