Maintenance Engineer Description

Our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to add to their team. You will be responsible for overseeing installations, renovations, engineering, and maintenance activities for a manufacturing facility, in a safe and compliant manner; activities range from providing technical and maintenance support, evaluating plant performance, initiating corrective actions and making recommendations to improve operations. Our client is looking for someone with at least five years of engineering, maintenance, and facility management experience in a manufacturing facility or plant. Ideal candidates will have experience performing routine maintenance on equipment, with effective troubleshooting capabilities in determining causes of operating errors with the ability to repair machines or systems and knowledge of chemicals and/or chemical reactions. To be successful in this role, you must be able to foster a team environment and work well with cross-functional departments. Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

  • Analyze plant efficiency, reliability, safety & cost performance
  • Make recommendations for operational improvement and/or maintenance
  • Support all EHS & Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
  • Supervise, provide technical support and direction to employees and contractors
  • Support manufacturing, outage planning and scheduling activities
  • Collaborate and contribute to the development of new products, services or process techniques
  • Manage project finances, with a strong control of scope, schedule deviation
  • Lead initiatives of reliability-centered maintenance principles and techniques
  • Provide leadership to sustain and improve the computerized maintenance system (CMMS)
  • Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; address complaints and resolve problems
  • Lead key improvement projects as assigned

Maintenance Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of engineering, maintenance, & facility management experience required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing facility/plant operations experience required
  • Experience applying mechanical engineering concepts to maintenance & repair of equipment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, and contractors on facility projects required
