Job Description
The Chattanooga, TN location is looking for a Maintenance & Engineering Clerk to join our dynamic team. The site is a leading global supplier of catalysts and other products and services to petroleum refiners; catalysts for the manufacture of plastics; silica-based engineered and specialty materials for a wide-range of industrial applications; specialty chemicals, additives and materials for commercial and residential construction; and, sealants and coatings for food packaging. The site is currently accepting resumes for the Maintenance & Engineering Clerk position.
Responsibilities
Develops and optimizes Maintenance & Engineering work processes and systems related to information management and document control:
- Enter work order history in SAP and perform field verifications for completion
- Manage plant inspections such as scales, ladders, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, emergency lighting, etc.
- Perform goods receipts for indirect materials, office supplies, services, etc.
- Supports project engineering activities which will include equipment and instruments lists, procurement and transitioning project data (IOM’s, spare parts, PM’s, etc.) into the maintenance information system, request for spare parts, etc
- Manage plant documentation in the appropriate system and storage locations and ensure compliance with the GRACE policy
- Work with Maintenance Planner and Stores Supervisor to kit parts for maintenance planned work
- Serve as a backup to the Stores Supervisor
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (or GED) required and at least (2) years manufacturing experience in a similar industry
- Must be able to work indoors/outdoors in the manufacturing plant environment
- Must be able to present information in a group setting
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented, proficient with computers, in particular Word and Excel, with expectation to quickly learn SAP
- Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and lift up to 30lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as an operator or mechanic in a chemical manufacturing environment
