Plan, supervise, direct, and engage in daily maintenance to support operations and anticipate production problems
*

• Through effective exchange of timely information with Shop Supervision, assist Production in achieving schedule and quality objects
• Instruct, train, orient, motivate and otherwise assist employees so that safety, quality, and maintenance objectives are achieved
• Participate in efforts aimed at effecting cost reductions, work simplification or improvements in methods or equipment.
• Enforcement of all safety policies and procedures, including LOTO, fall protection, ladder safety, housekeeping practices, and awareness of hazardous conditions
• Must be able to handle multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
• Respond to employee injuries, issuing medical authorization forms, investigating accident causes and recommending means to prevent accident reoccurrence.
• Keep employees informed of the company rules and regulations, and production and quality expectations
• Enforce approved disciplinary measures when necessary
• Encourage employee communication and endorse an open-door policy
• Maintain professionalism when dealing with Superiors, subordinates, and contractors
• Control overtime and spending within prescribed budgets
• Interpret complex documents including blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be able to identify potential hazards and make necessary corrections
• Maintains positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, quality control, and peers

• Support the Crystal Steel Lean Initiative through active engagement and participation in continuous process improvement projects based in Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Assist in the collection of data, participate in RIE workshops, and contribute to the implementation of solutions, replicate successful improvements, share lessons learned and provide feedback on opportunities for change that will further the continuous improvement process.
• Consistently exceed goals as communicated by your manager
• Must be able to mentor and supervise others, with the experience to verify the work of others and ensure the accuracy of the work being performed
• Ability to train and supervise others
• Participate in the daily production planning process
• Accept ownership of work cells, ensuring that work is completed within a timely manner while meeting Company and customers’ expectations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
