TASK DESCRIPTION


49-1011 First-Line Supervisors of Mechanics, Installers, and Repairers

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers. May also advise customers on recommended services. Excludes team or work leaders.

The Maintenance Material Control Officer for the Modification Kits, Helicopter Recovery, Augmentation, Components, and Engines (KRACEn) site at MCAS Beaufort, SC provides Aircraft Maintenance Services (AMS) to perform organizational level (O-Level) and Intermediate Level (I-Level) inspection and maintenance on the F/A-18 aircraft of MAG-31 as assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons (MALS)-31. Manage day-to-day maintenance material control support in accordance with (IAW) the scope of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Coordinate and supervise technical and administrative operations and all other aspects of support program to ensure timely availability of weapon systems to meet specified operational requirements. Ensure Contractor Maintenance Support (CMS) services meet or exceed contract performance requirements. Provide expertise and advice on technical, and logistical matters and the effective use of CMS efforts. Coordinate maintenance material support program IAW all applicable DOD maintenance management documents and directives.


TASK REQUIREMENTS


  • Provides daily oversight of all functional and operational activities in Supply, Warehouse, Tool Room, Material Control and Maintenance Control.
  • Establish deliver/pickup points for material ordered.
  • Maintain liaison with the supporting Aviation Supply Department on maintenance material matters to ensure the material needs of the organization are satisfied.
  • Prepare and furnish required documents for operational material support.
  • Ensure surveys are prepared in the event of loss, damage, or destruction of accountable material.
  • Oversee and perform technical supply management to include the storage, requisition, receipt, issue, and cataloging of inventory, items, toll and IMRL necessary to support maintenance and operations.
  • Maintain Records of and ensure calibration is accomplished on all required items (METCAL).
  • Prepares periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions replacement stock as needed.
  • Responsible for management functions for personnel assigned to Supply, Warehouse, and Tool Room.
  • Accountable for assigned Company Owned Property, Government Furnished Property, and Government Furnished Equipment.
  • Documents work performed on appropriate forms, electronic database and definitive sheets, as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Extensive knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) with a minimum of 20 years’ experience and 10 years’ experience supporting F/A-18 aircraft.
  • Eight years as a Maintenance Officer or senior maintenance NCO responsible for Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) with a minimum 8 years of experience supervising aircraft maintenance support requirements or civilian equivalents.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum of six (6) years Aviation Maintenance Experience with four (4) years F/A-18 Experience.
  • Must be intimately familiar with TD coordination, NALCOMIS OOMA, and naval message traffic format and function.
  • Shall possess a SECRET clearance.
  • Must be able to perform all Maintenance Administration functions. Monitor, control, and administer the Maintenance Data System within the activity and use the analysis to provide management tools which aid in the efficient and economical management of the squadron.
  • Must have previously held Maintenance Material Control Officer, Material Control Officer, or Maintenance Material Control Chief Billet at an O-Level Squadron.
  • Must have previous maintenance control experience.
  • Maintenance Material Control Officer (MMCO) shall possess required training, qualifications, proficiency, and security clearances and satisfy all access requirements prior to commencement of work.
  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts as assigned.

Compensation

$70,000 to $76,000/year
