We are the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. We manufacture and market prestressed PC-strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates ten manufacturing facilities in eight states.

About You

Position Snapshot

You will assist with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus and electrical and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment. You work daily to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working with risk lowered to As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) specifically to achieve “ZERO HARM” so no injuries, illness or negative impact occurs to employees, property, the environment or the community. You will assist the maintenance mechanic to ensure the equipment is functioning accordingly to produce within quality specs and with the designed performance.

To perform well in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a strong attention to detail.
  • Understand Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willing to work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and controls systems.
  • Be a self-starter and be ready to assist production when needed.
  • Provide support for operations as needed.
  • Initiate and suggest plans to improve performance, subject to approval by Insteel leadership.

Qualifications to be considered for the role:

· High school diploma or equivalent is required

· Professional, technical, or administrative training (2-year Associate Degree) is preferred.

· Ability to complete simple forms and understand written instructions.

· Minimum of 3 years work-related experience is required, an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
