Job Title: ExperiencedIndustrial Mechanic (Direct Hire)

- Install, maintain, and repair complex machine components and parts manual and automated utilizing blue prints.
- Diagnose complex problems, determine corrective action required, and take corrective action to ensure problem does not recur.
- Perform complex troubleshooting of electrical and electronic problems.
- Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations.
- Assist in the scheduling of maintenance and repair work to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain certifications for calibrated equipment, maintenance documentation, machine history and all other appropriate documentation.
- Analyze and determine corrective actions or repairs based on operational and trouble messages provided by Programmable Logic Controls (PLC's), Display Monitors, CNC control panels and other similar display panels.
- Clearly understand and follow all LOTO procedures, and Arc Flash requirements as outlined in STERIS HSE procedures.
- Correctly identify replacement machine components, suppliers, and supplies. Make Contact, make purchase decision based on cost and production needs, fill out requisition or make immediate purchase.
- Assist engineering with installation, testing, application designs, modifications and validation of new production equipment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 7+ years related experience. Technical college preferred.
- Four-year state certificate apprentice program and journeyman license.
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work with electrical connections, pneumatic cylinders, and understand PLC controlled equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, maintenance instructions, and detailed procedure manuals.
