The Maintenance Supervisor works within the Manufacturing Engineering organization in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor must be capable of interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams and CAD software.

Job purpose
A Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the elimination of breakdowns and maintenance of basic conditions through use of focused improvement methods including implementation of countermeasures and standardized maintenance processes as well as cost savings improvements. The Maintenance Supervisor works within the Manufacturing Engineering organization in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor must be capable of interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams and CAD software.
Key responsibilities
  • Development and modification of maintenance standard work instructions
  • Propose and manage medium-scale projects from beginning to end. May scope and manage large capital investment projects (>$5M)
  • Collaborates with other departments in preparing scope of work including project requirements, milestones, deliverables, end products and documents
  • Responsible for supporting implementation of new equipment and acceptance check list
  • Drive the implementation of maintenance continuous improvement processes
  • Develop data driven robust countermeasure for equipment downtime (PDCA, OPR) & update PM plans
  • Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance and TPM
  • Develop best practices to improve equipment capacity, quality, and reliability
  • Interact and be part of JSA and Ergonomic analysis
  • Development of new equipment in SAP creation and update of existing equipment materials list
  • Develop training plans for technical personnel
  • Define the level of skill required of maintenance personnel (training matrix)
  • Define level of critical spare parts usage and maintenance to reduce cost and downtime
  • Help develop cost for annual budget
  • Complies with maintenance financial standards by contributing to the development of departmental annual budget information, expense monitoring and implementing corrective actions
What we’re looking for
  • Experience as a mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic engineer
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, development, and implementation of maintenance process
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanics, electrical and control maintenance, personnel management, problem solving methods, and TPM implementation
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Management of office software and CAD software
  • Experience in interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams
  • Experience in technical personnel management
