Responsibilities

  • Drive the All in for Safety incident free culture
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high performing Maintenance Team of mechanical and electrical specialists to deliver high quality maintenance services to the South Butvar Department
  • Establish a strong relationship/partnership with Operations and other functional areas to understand needs, issues, and priorities.
  • Participate in effective P&S meetings and ensure that enough work is scheduled weekly to effectively utilize 100% of available labor. Review schedule breaks and work with Operations to minimize.
  • Review schedules frequently (mechanical and electrical), make/confirm work assignments, and hand out job packages daily
  • Communicate daily on status of maintenance work via the appropriate Operations personnel
  • Provide Operations with feedback on Maintenance concerns
  • Prioritize work and resource allocation daily when unplanned/reactive work emerges
  • Perform field walk downs with appropriate resources to define work scope and requirements
  • Assist team members with troubleshooting and eliminating roadblocks such as permit delays, tool failure, unexpected problems, questions, etc.
  • Review job plans to ensure that they contain appropriate job instructions, parts/materials, special equipment/machinery, and technical information necessary for crafts to perform work in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
  • Work with Maintenance Planners to develop, maintain and update maintenance job plan packets, bills of materials, and equipment data within SAP
  • Maintain ISO critical and Regulatory test equipment and records
  • Perform Permit Audits, PJHA’s, Housekeeping Inspections and other safety audits or observations and ensure MOC process is followed by all team members
  • Work with outside contractors as needed
  • Identify cost and efficiency improvement opportunities and control expenditures in a cost-effective way according to the site budget for site repairs, resources, direct labor, overtime and contractors

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing setting required
  • Team leadership and team-building skills
  • Strong planning, organization, facilitation, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance role
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and Outlook.
