Currently hiring for an experienced Maintenance technician to work for a steel manufacturing company in the Kentwood area. The maintenance technician will be responsible for all building maintenance in the facility. Great opportunity for upward mobility in a growing company.
Maintenance Technician Duties:
- Performs scheduled maintenance on all machines and assembly equipment, lubrication of bearings, gearboxes, motors, chain and belt driven conveyor systems, grease reservoirs, oil misters, saw chip collection.
- Performs minor repairs on all equipment within capabilities; cleans electrical panels from dirt and debris; replaces or repairs equipment when called by production for emergency repairs.
- Cleans equipment and surrounding area as required, maintains good housekeeping of all plant.
- Assist in cleanup activities related to machine/ equipment moves.
- Responsible for stocking and maintaining inventory of operator supplies and maintain the inventory of the supply closet.
- Other Duties related to the facility cleanliness and organization may be assigned.
Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
- Previous maintenance experience
- Ability to perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and welding repairs.
- Ability to organize paperwork and perform record-keeping functions through databases.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly areas
- Ability to inventory and order consumables and repair parts.
Maintenance Technician Shift details:
- 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm - $20.50/hour
- 3rd Shift: 11 pm - 7 am - $22/hour
- Overtime on Saturday’s
