Position: Maintenance Technician/Maintenance – Full Time Posting # 3136

- District

Posting Dates: December 9, 2022 – Until Filled

Reports To: Principal

Beginning: Immediately

Hours: 40 hours per week
1st Shift

Full-Year/Full-Time

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing. (1-4 years’ experience preferred)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must have working knowledge of HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing etc.
• Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service and troubleshoot equipment
• EPA Universal refrigerant license preferred
• Commercial experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Service, repair and preform maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment and systems, light electrical repairs and basic plumbing repairs
• Ability to work flexible hours if needed
• Deal with emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Ability to follow directions effectively and utilize technology in everyday operations
• Ability to work weekends if needed

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

▪ Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

▪ Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

▪ Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.

▪ Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

▪ Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

▪ Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.

▪ Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is subject to environmental conditions.

▪ The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
