We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Production team in Tooele, UT.

Hourly wage: $28.69 – 37.90 depending on experience level, and schooling

Shift schedule: 12 hours: 6PM – 6AM ; 3-4 days a week with Saturday and Sunday off

Sign on Bonus of $3,000.00 to be divided in three equal parts and given at 90, 180, and 270 days.

Under the Maintenance Supervisor or Managers direction, maintenance technicians perform a wide variety of tasks to maintain and repair plant equipment. Their primary responsibility is to minimize equipment breakdowns by safely conducting thorough preventative maintenance on equipment or identifying the root cause for failures and servicing equipment once rather than multiple times.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to handle heavy pieces of machinery.
• Maintain and repair plant utilities (Pneumatic, vacuum, water, chillers, electrical, lighting, fans, building maintenance).
• Maintain and repair all production and plant equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all machinery.
• Assist the production crew in troubleshooting processing problems.
• Talk with vendors, Carlisle engineering, and other resources when necessary to repair equipment, install new or replace equipment, upgrade or improve.
• Follow proper housekeeping.

Requirements:

• Possess at least 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of maintenance safety practices, good manufacturing practices, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Experience with production equipment control logic and sequencing.
• Experience with support and test equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of production operating and processing specifications and the resulting consequences for incompliance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Highly proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, chillers, gearboxes, vibration analysis, welding, water treatment, and air compressors.
• Must pass a skills test consisting of basic math and verbal questions.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent strongly preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, education verification (if applicable), reference check, and physical abilities test (PAT).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.

For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 70 pounds frequently. There is repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and constantly pulling up to 60 pounds.

In addition, this position requires the following abilities: Standing, Walking, Lifting, Reaching above shoulders, Bending, and Twisting.
