Job Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: Woodstock, IL 60098

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

Description:

Come join a full service, globally competitive custom plastic injection molder located in Woodstock, IL as a maintenance technician. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining equipment in and related to plastic injection molding manufacturing. If you’re detail oriented, have mechanical aptitude, and a solid work ethic, we’re looking for you.

This position works the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:20 a.m. with overtime available on weekends when needed.

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair, align, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment.
• Disassemble machines and parts and adjust, repair or replace defective parts and materials.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs via our online system.
• Learn all aspects of machine maintenance and become cross-trained in all areas of manufacturing and assembly.
• Requisition parts needed for completion of preventive maintenance responsibilities.
• Abide by and support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the current needs of the company and the requirements of the department.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5-6+ years of experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing facility, preferably injection molding.
• Demonstrated ability to read and explain mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, ideally knowledgeable in maintaining Husky, Cincinnati and Engle presses.
• Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as technical manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Trade certifications preferred.
