The Manager, Business Analytics is a critical and highly visible role that is responsible for managing a team of data analysis and visualization experts who provide reporting and metrics to internal stakeholders. The Manager will be responsible for organizing and building the Business Analytics team to work cross-functionally with Commercial, Engineering and Product. The Business Analytics team will be experts in Agribusiness data and will curate analyses and dashboards that connect disparate sources of data and provide information to stakeholders to make business decisions. This position requires a results-oriented and highly curious leader who wants to build a team to solve complex business problems with data.

Here's how

• Supports recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching and development of team members
• Mentor team members to further develop skills to assist in investigating, solving and delivering exceptional analytic outputs in the form of dashboards and reports
• Utilize agile methods to establish a roadmap, backlog, evaluate incoming requests, resources, prioritize and monitor team task
• Establish team processes and best practices, to ensure analyses and dashboards are peer reviewed, complete, accurate and highly scalable
• Lead the team and actively participate in complex analyses that contribute to team deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and execute analytic projects which deliver actionable insights in the form of dashboards, reports and descriptive decks
• Lead and serve as a consultant on department projects related to data and analytics including the development KPIs and scorecards that may be shared with Leadership
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team and provide critical business rules for business intelligence tools and models
• Understanding of data governance with the ability to establish governance practices

What you bring to this role

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics or related degree
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics or related STEM degree
• 5-7 year's relevant experience solving business problems and “telling stories” with data
• 2-3 year experience leading analytic and visualization personnel
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools such as Looker
• Experienced with SQL and advanced analytic languages (Python)
• Proven ability to successfully consult and support multiple groups and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and reliable partner
• Highly intellectually curious with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an aptitude for dealing with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Analytics or related field
• Agriculture and/or SaaS software experience
