Enel X has a need for a Manager of Data Operations to join our world-class Operations organization under the Onboarding and Support umbrella. Comprised of the Data and Utility Operations functions, the team is responsible for working with utility partners to request interval meter data and summary billing data, maintaining customer and utility relationships, validating and monitoring all meter data in the Enel X platform, and providing quality support services for internal and external customers. The mission of the team is to provide support and expertise to strategically improve and maintain Enel X’s data health, and is a shared service among the Enel X products, including demand response, battery storage, and eMobility.


As Manager of Data Operations you will demonstrate leadership, responsibility, innovation and proactivity to help ensure Enel X has a highly knowledgeable and dynamic data support organization. You will become an expert in Enel X’s business model and will develop a deep understanding of core operational and support processes and their dependency on interval data. You will be the expert in the issues surrounding accurate metering solutions and the tools and systems that collect and process this information. Your core responsibilities will require you to find ways to lead the team to ensure quality customer experiences while driving operational efficiency and ensuring data is acquired and fit for purpose within internal SLAs. You will also determine what new investments the team should be making to keep in line with and move toward the company mission and vision.

What You'll Do at Enel::
  • Manage, mentor, educate and hire members of the team
    • Manage staff and develop talent. Help them understand our industry, tools and Enel X processes. Motivate them to become experts in their domain.
    • Manage work queues to ensure staff is effectively utilized to meet operational commitments in responsiveness and issue resolution.
    • Develop documentation and training materials to be used within the team and throughout the company to promote a culture of quality customer support.
    • Manage budgets, allocations, and staffing. Recruit and hire new employees for open recs.
  • Develop team and individual goals, check-in on goals and individual performance at least quarterly, and review end-of-year performance with each member of the team.
  • Advise, consult and coordinate strategic initiatives related to data acquisition, management, monitoring and maintenance by leveraging your subject matter expertise.
    • Ensure that these initiatives help to achieve Operations’ larger goals.
    • Ensure that these initiatives are serving their purpose to the organization with the right amount of investment.
  • Create and drive cross-functional alignment.
    • Find opportunities that improve delivery of products and services.
    • Increase operational efficiency to enable dynamic teams that meet customer needs.
    • Maintain a network with interdependent teams.
  • Facilitate and oversee the team in the request, validation, monitoring and reporting of utility, 3rd party and Enel X meter data.
    • Identify data solutions that meet internal and external customer’s needs.
    • Create meaningful reporting metrics to internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure team is hitting internal SLAs for data requests, validations and customer support requests.
    • Work with other Enel teams to strategically improve the data health of our customer portfolio and ensure data is fit for purpose
    • Continuously improve the team’s functional processes using process re-engineering and automation to support increased volume and complexity
  • Manage third party external contractors which perform large portions of the team’s transactional work volume
Who You Are:: - Industry expertise and the ability to succeed at a technology enabled service provider. - Prior experience with customer service, application management, process improvement and controls, and project management. - Strong desire to learn new technologies. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-driven context. - Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced, forward moving environment. - Attention to detail and an inquisitive nature. - Excellent oral and written communications skills. - Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. - Excellent time management skills and ability to balance conflicting priorities. - Ability to manage high stress situations calmly and effectively What You've Accomplished::
  • BA/BS, with a degree in a quantitative/analytical field (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics) or another field with demonstrated ability to work with and derive insights with technology
  • 4+ years’ experience leading or managing teams
  • 7+ years’ experience in data acquisition, management, monitoring and maintenance
  • Deep analytical expertise with operational metric reporting experience
