Position Summary

The Engineering Support Services Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement and efficiency throughout W&S for all things Engineering and Capital related. You will be an integral part of the corporate engineering team providing technical guidance to site engineers, production, and maintenance teams across the company. You will be responsible for leading the development of capital reporting, engineering technical standards, project management standards, and other tools necessary to improve the effectiveness of Engineering and Capital activities. You will be the SME for W&S Operations contract execution. This position is earmarked for an individual who thrives on transformation and simplifying complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Thought leadership and support with project related documentation reviews, tracking, compliance, and cataloguing.

  • Manage a wide range of activities including development of Engineering reporting, analytics, cost administration, Engineering technical standards and project management processes in conjunction with project managers. Driving continuous improvement for the W&S Operations contracting process. Manage and support capital planning requirements. This includes working with Internal and External Management and a variety of cross functional teams.

  • Organize capital reviews and ensure proper documentation in partnership with engineering, finance, and key stakeholders.

  • Lead reporting standards and development of key performance indicators in key enterprise systems including Intelex, Intellapac, JDE, SharePoint, etc. for Engineering & Capital.

  • Manage team responsible for supporting engineers with the development of master plans, capital plans and budgets.

  • Lead training activities and change management efforts to continuously improve processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering and cross functional colleagues on best practice application developing a culture of high performance.

  • A high level of collaboration across most departments within W&S Operations, team leadership and a commensurate level of diplomacy and organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or technical discipline

  • Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing environment and/or project management role

  • Highly proficient MS Office skills, specifically Word and Excel

  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, analytical skills

  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Ability to focus on multiple tasks and deadlines, and effectively prioritize and manage them; strong attention to detail

  • Experience working successfully within a team environment

  • Excels and thrives at transformation; change management experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external relationships

  • Experience managing projects

  • Problem solver

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree

  • PMP certification

  • Proficiency in Intelex, Intellapac, JDE, SAP, SharePoint, Office Suite

  • Lean certification

Physical Requirements/Other

  • Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.

  • Travel Required: 10-25%, largest concentration in California Wine Country

The salary range for this role is:

$103,100.00 - $191,200.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
