ADUSA Procurement, a partner company to Retail Business Services, provides supply chain services that enable end-to-end optimization and visibility, balancing service and cost with collaboration and supporting the delivery of product from a supplier to the warehouse. Like Retail Business Services, ADUSA Procurement provides services to five omnichannel grocery brands, including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for representing ADUSA and Supply Chain in industry forums on product data. This position advocates for AD & ADUSA and industry interests, partnering with suppliers, retailers, and service providers across the global community. This position supports applying global data standards to AD & ADUSA operations to drive consistency and improve data accuracy & completeness. This position acts as subject matter expert on global data standards related to identifying, capturing, and sharing product, location, and party data.
This position is charged with ensuring timely and accurate supply chain processing of item setup & maintenance tasks. This position oversees resolution of unauthorized item scenarios between ADUSA and third-party suppliers. This position acts as a supply chain SME in the product life cycle, how product attributes impact the end-to-end supply chain, and coordinating resolution of item data issues impacting product flow.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Support lead in representing AD & ADUSA in industry forums focused on identifying, capturing, sharing product, location, and party. These forums include CBA, FMI, CGF, GS1

Coordinate activities in ADUSA across multiple functional departments to implement global data standards (e.g. Smart Label, Global Data Model)

Participate in AD & ADUSA internal workshops and initiatives that involve global data standards (e.g. preparation for 2D Barcode sunrise, preparation for adherence with government regulations on produce traceability [FSMA 204])

Work with internal and external teams to ensure publication of Smart Label product pages to support all private brand products, including accurate and timely publication of Smart Label product pages

Participate in data-working committees with key stakeholders to educate and communicate upcoming standards and related technical changes.

Assist in the development and implementation of data management standard working practices

Participate in the coordination, gathering, planning, implementation, and process improvement necessary to meet any cross-functional data quality requirements

Participate in ADUSA forums (e.g. Data Governance committee, Health & Sustainability focus group, Data Transparency global workshop) to help identify opportunities to utilize global data standard to improve ADUSA operations

Report out regularly to senior and executive leadership on internal and external data initiatives

Ensure accurate and timely execution of supply chain enrichment of new items and maintenance (e.g. selection of source facilities, order book assignments, source vendor number)

Ensure accurate and timely processing of Cycle Item Activity reports leading to the creation of new item forced distributions & supply chain new item execution reporting.

Maintain strong working relationships with Item Life Cycle, Marketing and Merchandising IT, Forced Distribution, In Stock, and brand Category Management teams.

Oversee resolution of unauthorized item situations with C&S Wholesale Grocers, coordinating with CAO, ILC, and brand Category Management teams.

Act as a point of escalation for item setup problems

Maintain item conversion SOPs and related materials partnering Training & Process team.

Manage, coordinate, and prioritize the schedules, projects, and activities of direct reports

Manage and execute the performance management process, including mentoring & creation of career development plans of direct reports

Oversee the research and resolution of reported incidents of item attribution preventing successful flow of goods in the end-to-end supply chain.

Knowledge:
Experience with master data management preferred

Experience collaborating with cross industry retailers, manufacturers, and third-party service providers

Experience in the development and implementation of data standards

Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities by analyzing/documenting current business processes and requirements, then identify gaps to an improved future state.

Perform data analysis on existing work within operations to measure and report on quality and productivity of workflows.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required; preferred fields of study include computer science and statistics

Experience:
7 to 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Category Management, or Item Life Cycle

5 to 7 years of experience in master data management or related fields preferred
