Office Manager - Woodbine, MD

Position type and expected hours of work: Full time position, typically Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4pm with an hour lunch break. Overtime as necessary.

Summary: The Office Manager has multiple primary functions and is responsible for providing the necessary support to all departments and supervision of the overall business unit daily functions.

Essential functions:

Office Management

  • Vendor and Client Management
  • Oversee AP/AR for the business unit
  • HR Liaison
  • Payroll
  • Reporting
  • DOT and Safety Ambassador
  • Maintain COI program
  • Accident/Injury reporting and compliance
  • Employee Onboarding and training
  • Employee Recognition/Retention
  • File/Archive and Information Management
  • Answer the phones; direct calls; take messages and distribute
  • Order supplies and stock office, kitchen, cleaning, shipping
  • Package, label and send UPS and FedEx shipments
  • All other Duties Assigned

Competency: Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be detail oriented, accurate, flexible, dependable and a team player. Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Need Excel, Word, and Netsuite experience

Work environment: Position requires the employee to work in the office.

Physical demands: The position primarily requires sitting, typing and viewing a computer. Other less frequent physical demands include bending and lifting.

Travel: No travel is expected with this position.

Preferred education and experience: High School Diploma or GED. Successful candidate with 1-3 years of experience is preferred
