Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

Purpose:

Manage and lead the organizational efforts to achieving and maintaining compliance to AS9100, ISO 9001 and other quality management system requirements for Marvin Engineering and Marvin Land Systems.

Job Duties:

1. Evaluates and assesses quality systems compliance status by collaborating with internal quality audit teams, 3rd party assessors and other auditing bodies to identify opportunities to improve compliance.
2. Supports all organizational functions in improving their compliance to quality systems through collaborating, advising, recommending and when needed, facilitating process improvements.
3. Manages the control, approval and communication of Documents that are governed by AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems, i.e. SIPOCs, work instructions, Special Procedures, etc. Ensure applicable document are available and accessible to the organization though the company intranet.
4. Supports overall identification of risks within the organization, as it pertains to compliance.
5. Support and guide corrective action teams to drive a robust closed loop validation process for effectiveness of corrective actions, when related to quality systems compliance.
6. Evaluates and support the integration of quality systems requirements with other applicable and regulatory requirements.
7. Leads and supports the organizational readiness for all internal and external quality systems audits.
8. Supports the organizational training and knowledge development with regards to quality systems.
9. Provide weekly/monthly report(s) that identifies key areas of quality system focus and required action to sustain and improve quality systems compliance and the value it brings to the organization.

Job Requirements:

1. Exceptional proficiency In quality systems standards, such as AS9100, ISO9001 and others as applicable.

2. High level of facilitation and leadership skills in identifying gaps and opportunities and driving organized effort improvement.

3. Maintain awareness and understanding of quality systems documents published

4. Lead Assessor Auditor certification is a must.
5. Four-year degree or equivalent based on a minimum of 5 to 10 years' hands-on experience in quality assurance within the aerospace and defense Industry.
6. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and computer skills is a must.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of ITAR, as defined: a U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
