Manufacturing Business Unit Leader - Product/Manufacturing/Operations Unit Leader

Job Overview

We are seeking a cross-functional team leader with a strong technical background to maximize customer satisfaction and profitable growth while maintaining world-class safety and environmental standards for a specific product line. You will promote continuous improvement in product quality and consistency. Collaboration with other product lines and other departments is imperative to the success of our organization.

Our Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • Manufacturing experiences
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Ability to manage time and work assignments for self and others
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and technical staff
  • Demonstrated team building skills

  • Previous management or supervisory experience
  • Manufacturing experience within the chemical industry
  • Demonstrated leadership of a cross-functional team

  • Lean Manufacturing experience

  • Experience working with Process Safety Management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets

Essential Job Functions/Duties

  • Promote and maintain a high level of safety awareness & regulatory compliance in the product line
  • Lead cross-functional team to identify root cause and implement corrective actions to repetitive issues and other problems that impact plant safety, quality, and productivity
  • Set and establish priorities and expectations for the product line
  • Analyze product line performance and develop safe, sustainable solutions to ensure that customer needs are met
  • Drive continuous improvement effort
  • Maintain and implement process control
  • Teach and coach production personnel
  • Maintain production record
  • Maintain product traceability
  • Lead group risk management activities
  • Maintain ISO quality program for the product line
  • Control budget spend to match P&L targets
  • Analyze production financial variances
