Rosco Vision Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team! We are looking for an individual who will develop and improve manufacturing processes to meet product design and quality requirements based on equipment capabilities. The individual will review product drawings and specifications with Engineering Department to ensure dimensional tolerances are achievable, repeatable, and measurable. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will identify opportunities and implement solutions to promote standardization and maximize production throughout.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

• Assist Engineering Department with material selection for new and existing products
• Design jigs and fixtures using CAD to improve manufacturing and assembly methods and improve quality
• Maintain change management of designed jigs and fixtures in PLM system
• Collaborate closely with in-house tool room or external vendors to machine CAD-designed jigs and fixtures
• Communicate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards
• Calculate and present ROI analysis on capital expenditure initiatives
• Develop and maintain manufacturing process documents and work instructions
• Train production staff in new and existing processes
• Communicate effectively among cross-functional departments to accomplish assigned goals and objectives
• Collaborate with Engineering Department during product development and prototype fabrication

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

• Minimum 5 years of experience in at least one of the following processes: sheet metal and tubing fabrication, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, welding, and assembly line production
• Proven experience with designing assembly and welding fixtures with poke-yoke design elements incorporated
• Familiarity with sheet metal stamping and forming dies
• Proficient in Process Flow charts, PFMEA, PLM and modern ERP systems
• Proficient in CAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360
• Proficient in MS Office package
• Able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
• Excellent communication skills

FOLLOWING WORK EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS

• Experience in powder coating lines
• Experience in wire harness manufacturing
• Familiarity with injection molding mold-flow analysis
• Certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
