Roles and responsibilities

• Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to perform conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
• Will prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity and magnitude where technical supervision provides an outline of tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedures to be followed.
• Analysis of Engineering data and change notices to create manufacturing Bill of Materials and routings for various product lines.
• Will have the opportunity to document, support and improve the manufacturing processes in various departments that process materials using manual and automated processes.

Past experience (3 – 5 years)

• Analysis and documentation of manufacturing processes using work instructions and / or process specifications
• Participating and / or leading process improvement exercises in a manufacturing environment
• Analysis of manufacturing Bill of Materials and creation of manufacturing routings of components and sub-assemblies
• Supporting the fabrication of various components by use of CNC equipment or manual manufacturing processes

Tools / Software

• NX and Teamcenter Engineering or similar design and PLM (product lifecycle management) tool
• SAP
• Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Mastercam or similar CAM tool is a plus

Education

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Pay: $55.00 - $64.50 per hour
