Purpose:

Provide support in locating parts that will be readily available and will replace obsolete, hard to find, and inadequate parts. Responsible for QA of incoming and outgoing parts ensuring product is within industry specification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply mechanical knowledge to locate similar or replacement parts and validate parts solutions when OEM parts have become obsolete. Locate identical or comparable parts with lesser lead times and cost.
• Excellent decisiveness - able to make decisions even when perfect data is not available
• Provide mechanical drawings, bills of material, detailed work scope, assembly, and testing instructions where applicable
• Create and maintain required monthly reports including open and completed parts orders or sourcing
• Lead Reviews for part swap or exchanges
• Provide instructions to drafters and designers for the development and preparation of layouts, assembly, and detail drawings
• Prepare sketches, drawings, and documentation of parts needing to be machined.
• Performed quality assurance checks on all incoming machined parts and outgoing measurements for fab work
• Communicate with suppliers/vendors when parts do not meet company standards, ensuring management is aware of these problem parts
• Procure parts by submitting requisitions to accounting

Professional Experience:

• 5-10 years mechanical/electrical experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with computer/database/CMMS tools (i.e. Excel, SAP, MP2)
• Must understand electrical control systems including Servo Drives and PLC’s
• Must understand complex mechanical drive systems
• Must understand pneumatic systems
• Must understand complex hydraulic systems
• Must understand utilities such as electrical, thermal oil, compressed air and HVAC
• Must be able to use Project Planner and CMMS systems.

• Must be able to interface with others at all levels, from executive to hourly.
• Must be able to support 24/7/365 manufacturing operation
• Must be able to effectively manage technical associates from engineers to technicians

• Role based in United States
