Position Description

DEFINITION
To support Director of Marketing in operational marketing project management, public relations and design efforts for the Wilson Center; support artist settlements.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED


  • Receives direct supervision from the Director of Marketing.
  • Works closely with part-time Marketing Assistants

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Ensure that all marketing and public relations procedures and projects are in compliance with the CFCC Marketing Department.
  • Monitor the appropriate use of the College’s and Center’s names, marketing brands, trademarks, etc., and ensuring compliance with the College’s associated policies.
  • Implement Director of Marketing’s annual and long-range marketing strategy.
  • Support the implementation of area budget and marketing plans that articulate focused and diverse efforts to meet or exceed earned revenue goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with audiences using traditional and innovative communication and retention techniques, including digital marketing, social media and traditional marketing
  • Work closely with Ticketing Department to manage performance sales timelines; coordinate all necessary components to announce and put performances on sale.
  • Generate media exposure through general press releases and focused pitches.
  • Support implementation of corporate and private sponsorships and trade agreements for the Center in conjunction with the Foundation and Center membership program
  • Oversee marketing copy and strategies in digital media, while adhering to brand standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the Center Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube, Instagram, and all other social media accounts.
  • Support marketing services for resident arts organizations.
  • Maintain Center archives.
  • Coordinate Street Team efforts for direct marketing.
  • Support development, design and distribution of print materials, including season magazine, mailings, brochures, playbills, lobby signage.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Minimum Education/Training:
  • A bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, graphic design, communications, journalism, business or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience :
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated successful experience in a marketing and/or design role.
  • Graphic design knowledge and experience in either and administrative or creative role.
  • Understanding of and experience in working with the Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Education/Training, Experience, Skills :
  • Master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in a marketing role within higher education, performing arts, or another similar field.
  • Arts administration/arts presenting operations experience.
