Marketing Coordinator Job at Village of Lincolnwood
The Village is seeking a responsible and energetic individual to assist the Parks and Recreation Department with the Village’s marketing efforts. Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and producing all promotional and marketing materials for the Parks and Recreation Department. The position plans, leads, and evaluates marketing for recreation programs and special events including but not limited to seniors, outdoor recreation and youth programs. The Marketing Coordinator also secures sponsorship(s) for Department programs and events. The position manages internal and external communications including the departments presence on social media. Excellent oral/written communication/public speaking skills are required.
Required Skills/Education/Experience:
This position requires an Associate’s Degree in leisure services, marketing, communications or a related field with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and one to three years of related recreation experience. CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications required within six months of employment. The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics and abilities: ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously, ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, use good judgment, and ability to use a variety of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, RecTrac, E-Gov, and Laserfiche along with a familiarity with social media. Training will be provided on computer programs.
Hours and Compensation:
This starting pay for this position is $24.43+ per hour (D.O.Q.) and is classified as a part-time, non-exempt, non-union position. All applicants must be able to work 25 to 29 hours a week, before and after normal business hours as required by program offerings. This position may occasionally work weekends.
