What You Will Do:
  • Compiling and analyzing statistical data, using modern and traditional methods to collect it, this data coming from different platforms such as VoC, Customer Segmentation, Evaluations on Customer perception in the market.
  • Responsible for competitive landscape analysis, evaluation of potential threats, and opportunities
  • Manage and analyze market data collection and insights, and then transform into usable guidance for business leaders
  • Collect and analyze customers insights to be used in strategic marketing plans
  • Monitor the competition and analyze competitors’ financial performance on a quarterly basis, as well as general feedback and actions
  • Lead market segmentation and sizing activities
  • Act as resource to the regions for industry specific marketing knowledge, content, tools and support
  • Responsible for maintaining an active view of external forces affecting company performance, evaluation of geopolitical instability that may affect drive different directions when compared to ChampionX internal strategy
  • Responsible for management and reporting from third party companies managing primary and secondary market research on behalf of ChampionX
  • Dealing with internal stakeholders in upper management with active reporting of market conditions and reporting with different leaders in other business functions on specific situations, headwinds, inflation M&A activities
  • Collecting data on consumers, competitors and marketplace and consolidating information into actionable items, reports, and presentations
  • Understanding business objectives and designing surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences, Voice of Customer and Voice of the business emphasis

  • Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
  • Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations. Use online market research and catalogue findings to database.
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
  • Evaluate program methodology and key data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the angle of the release is correct
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Statistics, Marketing, Data Science or related field
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Markets in the chemical and services industry, ideally in the Oil and Gas sector
  • Knowledge on data analytics, ideally around visualization tools such as PowerBi, Tableau etc.
  • Knowledge on statistical analysis, i.e., linear regressions, multivariable analysis, understanding of MonteCarlo simulations etc.
  • Knowledge on strategy development and execution

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead without assigned authority
  • Strong communication skills laterally, and vertically
  • Ability to think strategically, while also anticipating short term challenges and solutions
  • Experience inspiring a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to provide enhanced and/or faster service, safer working conditions and reduced risks
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and document management
  • MBA and/or consulting experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage well with stakeholders to translate their needs into effective outcomes.
  • Experience building and maintaining a SharePoint Online site
  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Experience with specialty chemicals in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Knowledge of ChampionX business and processes
  • Experience in a consulting environment would be ideal
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or similar), databases and MS Office
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
  • Familiarity with CRM programs
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking
